The Northeast Energy Center (NEC) project is being developed in Charlton, Massachusetts to provide the New England region access to a reliable, domestic and cost effective supply of natural gas.
In order to meet the growing energy needs of the region, NEC will provide critical feedstock fuel for distribution companies, generation facilities, home heating, industrial applications, educational and agricultural facilities. NEC will be strategically positioned along the Tennessee Gas Interstate Pipeline and along key interstate highway corridors.
The project will serve as a catalyst of development in Charlton and surrounding communities, providing access to natural gas that can facilitate economic development, help displace oil use, and serve as a home heating option. Our mission is to meet and exceed all safety requirements as mandated by the Commonwealth and Federal regulations and to be an active and productive member of the surrounding communities.
